Services
The Star Throwers Centre is back open again after the festive break and welcoming people back for information and support. We are always looking for more Volunteer Therapists who are looking to donate their time to support people affected by cancer – if you are a massage, reflexology or reiki therapist please do get in touch about this opportunity. Fundraising
We had a very busy run up to Christmas with our Charity Ball on 26th November which raised £5645, followed by our Wreath Making the next day supported by Nicky from The Enchanted Willow which raised a further £900. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us by fundraising, organising events, taking on a challenge or attending one of our events in 2022 – watch this space for even more fundraising opportunities to take part in in 2023!
Events
Join us at the centre on Saturday 24th February from 10am – 2pm for our ‘Star Throwers Swishing’ event - Swap up to 8 items of your good quality clothes, shoes and accessories for a whole new wardrobe! Bring along your items on the day or in advance and make a £3 donation. Refreshments will be available and the Treasure Trove shop will also be open.
Looking for a challenge for 2023?
Take part in the Spring Blickling Half Marathon on Sunday 19th March for free – all you need to do is commit to raising £100 in sponsorship for Star Throwers. Enter online today or contact us to find out more: https://totalracetiming.co.uk/race/371.
Take on a tandem skydive for Star Throwers this year - raise a minimum of £330 (and pay a deposit of £50) and your skydive will be FREE! Shop
Our new ‘Treasure Trove’ shop continues to be doing well with a constant supply of new items available to view and purchase, we are currently open Mon-Fri from 10am-4pm. Find our new shop next to the centre on Melton Road in Wymondham.
Warm Space
We have received funding to open the centre as a designated ‘Warm Space’ on several dates until the end of March 2023 – we will be open, 14th& 21st Jan, 4th & 25th Feb and 11th & 18th March. Come along and have some free refreshments and a chat with our staff and volunteers, the ‘Treasure Trove’ shop will also be open on these dates.
