Sometime ago, the Shed, Wymondham’s social activities centre, were approached by a woman who wanted help with a toy truck restoration. The truck - a Tonka Toy - had belonged to her grandson and was very weather-beaten from over the years, as well as having a hole in it and a malfunctioning speaker and buttons.
The Shed announced on Facebook: ‘It took some time but after careful restoration which included new plastic welding techniques, paint matching and electronic repairs, we were ready to hand it over.
‘It’s now been reunited with her grandson - he’s 23 now!’
