Water Polo tasters for adults are on Wednesdays between 8-10pm and Juniors on Sundays 2.15-3.15. They are also offering Fun & Float tasters on a Saturday between 12.10-1.10pm and All welcome tasters between 1.15-2.15, also on a Saturday.

Bubble Football Taster for Kids

Bring the kids to come and try Bubble Football for free at Kett’s Park! These fun sessions are taking place from 2-3pm on the 13th and 27th of August. Kids Camp

South Norfolk Council has a treat in store for children this Summer with a jam-packed programme of fun activities at Wymondham Leisure Centre running throughout the holidays.

South Norfolk Council’s Cabinet Member Richard Elliott said: “With over 50 fun and exciting activities on offer at Wymondham Kids Camp, there’s something for everyone and no day’s ever the same! It’s great fun for children and running from 9-5pm, it’s ideal for working parents, or for those looking to break up the long holiday.”

Kids Camp will run from 25 July to 2 September for children aged 5-15. There’s a huge range of activities on offer ensuring there’s something for everyone, including crafts such as kite making and sand art and sports, such as dodgeball, football and daily swimming sessions.

Kids Camp costs just £27 per day and £18 for half a day, it’s also Ofsted registered and accepts childcare vouchers. Discounted rates are available for Leisure Passport holders.

Lifeguard Qualification

The NPLQ is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is also internationally recognised. More than 46,000 pool lifeguards qualify with the RLSS UK every year, and there are currently more than 90,000 pool lifeguards qualified in the NPLQ – 95% of all UK pool lifeguards. 

RLSS UK is regulated by Ofqual and is the premiere professional lifeguard qualification available.

Candidate attending a NPLQ course must be 16-years-old at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:
Jump/dive into deep water
Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
Tread water for 30 seconds
Surface dive to the floor of the pool
Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

Head to Morley pretty much any day of the week and you’ll be able to occupy the kids with something interesting and active. They have a huge range of classes, activities and clubs going this summer and beyond. 

For the youngest ones including toddlers there’s ballet, theatre school, martial arts, Rugby Tots and football. 

A variety of ages can enjoy climbing, dance fitness, judo, pilates and aerobics. School Holiday Camps include Mad Science, WHAM Theatre School and Summer Climbing School. 

Casual court rental is also available for groups wanting to play badminton, short tennis, pickleball and volleyball. All equipment is included for the hire price of £10 per hour.

Heritage Museum 

Inside the historic Bridewell on the corner of Browick Road and Avenue Road is a lovely museum full of interesting displays on our local history.
