Wymondham Abbey is gearing up to host another of its Abbey Days this Easter with fun and activities for all the family, live music, a feast of Norfolk street food, and a range of unique local produce.

The event, on Saturday 1st April, is free to enter, and every purchase of crafts and food not only supports local traders, but also helps raise funds for Wymondham Abbey, and ClearCompany CIC’s projects supporting local non-profit enterprises.

There will be special live performances from musician Anto Morra, duo Baroness and the Bear, and three-piece band Flat White.  Open mic sessions will be available for anyone wishing to plug in and play or take the mic.

All tastes are catered for with an equally exciting line-up of street food and beverages from Bella Ciao wood-fired pizza, Pokenom poke bowls and bubble tea, Khushee’s aromatic vegan curries, Superburger serving from their vintage, custom-made giant burger, Mr Frosty’s ice cream and fresh warm waffles, Circus Head CIC’s speciality barista coffee, and Craftily’s fully licensed bar.

Julie Briggs, founder and Director of ClearCompany, said: “We have such fun at the Wymondham Abbey fairs and love teaming up with the Abbey team to create a buzzing community atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.  Norfolk vendors have told us the Abbey fairs are at the top of their favourite events of the year and appreciate the friendly atmosphere as much as the stunning Abbey itself.

“Each event has a different range of activities for adults, craft lovers, and children, alongside a mix of new Norfolk businesses and those returning to meet their loyal customers. There will also be wellbeing tasters for visitors to try this Easter.”

Activities for children include a treasure hunt, dancing competitions with Buzz the Bee, making Easter chick pompoms and rustic bunting, decorating eggs, and traditional races.

Wymondham Abbey’s Father Christopher Davies said: “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to this wonderful event in the magnificent setting of Wymondham Abbey. There really will be something for all to enjoy!”

ClearCompany CIC has joined forces with the Abbey over the last three years to create community events that attract visitors of all ages, and a platform for the social enterprise’s non-profit groups to raise awareness of the services they offer.

The event runs from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 1st April with 60 stalls inside the Abbey and surrounding grounds.
