There will be an entertaining Christmas film show in the Regal Lounge at the Wymondham and District Ex-Services’ Social Club on Sunday 17th December at 2:30pm (doors open 1:45pm) in aid of The Royal British Legion. The main feature will be the highly acclaimed and much loved festive movie “It’s A Wonderful Life”, starring the popular James Stewart and Donna Reed. An inventive comedy-drama, the film is arguably director Frank Capra’s best work.

Supporting will be “The Night Before Christmas”, a Tom and Jerry cartoon with their amusing cat and mouse antics, as well as a look at celebrations of “Christmases Past In Wymondham”, through the 20th century, which has been put together by Richard Hitchins. There will also be a display of memorabilia and photographs relating to James Stewart’s movie career and his service in World War Two with the US Army Air Force at Tibbenham, Old Buckenham and Ketteringham Hall. Some rare memorabilia will be on view amongst the exhibits.

The show is open to all and entrance is £5, which is payable in cash on the door.
