Kett’s Books are delighted to announce they are moving to a new site in the centre of Wymondham and are honoured that Jack Kinsey, finalist in the BBC1’s Interior Design Masters, is bringing his design magic to transform the premises.

The community bookshop, which is run by volunteers, is moving to the old vets at 11 Market Place and aims to be open for business in the autumn. The new shop is large enough not only to stock many more books, but has the space to hold events that will benefit the whole community. These will include toddler groups and book clubs as well as more of their popular author events with best selling writers.

Tracy Kenny, Manager of Kett’s Books says: “We have loved growing Kett’s Books in its present location in Wharton’s Court, but we know we have the potential to achieve so much more. Moving to 11 Market Place means we can stock more books and hold more activities and events, as well as offer more volunteering opportunities.

“The new site is magnificent and deserves to have the best brought out in it, so we are thrilled that Jack has come aboard. His design promises to make the bookshop just as cosy and welcoming as it always has been – but with his touch, it’s going to be absolutely enchanting.

Volunteers for Kett's Books

“One of our favourite areas Jack has designed is a special space for children and parents/carers to enjoy spending time. It will be a place where a lifelong love of books and reading can begin and grow.

“The project has attracted even more wonderful volunteers who will be lending a hand with the transformation and are helping to make the shop a real community hub for adults, families and everyone who loves books and reading.

We look forward to welcoming old customers and new to a transformed Kett’s Books, so please come and visit us to browse our books, meet new friends, and enjoy the community events we are planning.”
