Hello Wymondham, I am Martin Wanger, but I write under my mother’s name, Madeline Dando. I have lived with my wife Brenda in the town for 30 years.

Writing stories is the hardest and the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Having published two novels, I thought I would turn my attention to children’s books. I draw my inspiration and ideas from my childhood in the East End of London. As a child, I remember food rationing, bomb sites and playing football in the street. In those days, there were no computers or mobile phones and few televisions. Like most people, my parents struggled for money.

On Friday, 17th November I’m launching my first two books in the Oliver Stanley Adventure Series: ‘The Cheetahs’ and ‘The Kidnapping of Jimmy Brown’.
