Lovell is sponsoring local women’s rugby team, Wymondham Wasps, for the next two seasons. Wymondham Wasps is part of Wymondham Rugby Football Club and is just a short distance from the Lovell Wymondham development, William’s Park.
The sponsorship will help with expenses for the Wasps throughout the year, such as travel and equipment, as well as new tops featuring Lovell on the front. Wymondham Wasps currently sit fourth in the table with over 30 women in the team.
Liam Browning, general manager at Wymondham Rugby Club, said: “We are one of the best teams in East Anglia and are always looking to recruit and grow women's rugby. Having a sponsor interested in a women's team really shows how far the game has come with big companies wanting to invest in women's grassroots rugby, so a massive thank you to Lovell for supporting us this year.”
Sasha Bainbridge, partnerships director at Lovell, said: “England's most recent win at the Six Nations shows how far women's rugby has come and the support and interest in the game. The new Wymondham Wasps shirts look fantastic and we wish the team all the best for the new season.”
