Wymondham Town United Youth Football Club has been run on a voluntary basis for its entire 27-year history. The significant population growth in the town over recent years has seen demand for places at the club grow exponentially and the club now runs over 24 teams with more than 400 players (aged 5 to 18 years), making the club one of the largest providers of youth grassroots football in Norfolk.

Trying to ensure as many children as feasibly possible can participate in football has placed significant challenges for the football club with player demand significantly outstripping the available local facilities, including both grass pitch and 3G availability at Ketts Park. The club’s growth has also meant the time required for the few volunteers that support on the administrative side has increased dramatically over recent seasons. We would like to express a huge thanks to all who have supported over the years, although with one or two key people stepping down recently, a large volunteer gap exists and we would welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in supporting (in any capacity) to step forward and contact wtufcchair@gmail.com

Post the worst ravages of the recent pandemic, children and young adults need more and improved facilities than ever before to enable greater access to sporting activities which can help support both mental health and physical wellbeing. Despite all of the headwinds Wymondham Town United Youth Football Club is rightly proud to play a pivotal part in striving to support this aim and afford as many youth sporting opportunities in the community as possible. None of this could be achieved without the ongoing generosity of the local business community who, (despite challenging financial times) have consistently supported the growing football club with both time and sponsorship to help with the purchase of training kits, equipment and much more.

We would like to express our thanks to all of our local sponsors past and present and particularly those who have recently sponsored our teams over the past year including: Anglia Gas and Heating Ltd, Beyond Any Limits, Middletons Clothing, DragonFly Lettings, Money Properties, R G Durrant and Sons Roofing, KOPPISPACE, Norfolk Mortgages, CARRNEL, P&D Tanks, Sam Mallet Roofing Services, Qualifications For Ltd, M.W. Sweepers, Eastern Windows and Doors Ltd, The Crosskeys, Boilercare and Dustguard.

We remain incredibly proud of all our local footballers, volunteers and sponsors and look forward to seeing the club continue to grow and play a vital part in supporting youth football development within the local community.
