Norwich-Brielle Voices present a programme of works dating from the Renaissance to the Baroque era. This collaborative choral ensemble unites singers from highly regarded choirs in Norwich (UK) and Brielle (the Netherlands). The choir celebrates the intertwined religious and historical ties between the two regions.

These singers join us for the second time in Norfolk and are looking forward to performing in Wymondham Abbey on August 29th 2026 at 5pm.

The programme is called From Renaissance to Baroque and Beyond. It features works by J S Bach, Josquin, Byrd, Holst, Dering, Kuhnau, Tallis, Sweelinck, Scarlatti and Pearsall. The singing will be interspersed with two organ solos given by the choir's director and internationally acclaimed organ recitalist, Ashley Grote, who has been Master of Music at Norwich Cathedral since 2012. In recent years, Ashley has worked with the BBC singers, the Britten Sinfonia, the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Norwich Baroque. He has conducted the Norwich Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra since 2024. In May of this year, he conducted the chorus and orchestra in an acclaimed performance of Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast at the annual Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
