Ptarmigan in winter

The November meeting of Wymondham Nature Group (WyNG), the local members’ group of Norfolk Wildlife Trust, takes place on Thursday 10th November at 7:30 pm, with an illustrated talk by Andrew Clarke – ‘Winter is Coming’. The venue is the Town Green Community Centre, NR18 0PW (next to Wymondham Methodist Church)

Andrew will discuss why we have seasons, how these vary from place to place, and the effects they have on wildlife. He will concentrate on the responses of animals and birds, including migration and hibernation, but also touch upon the impacts on insects and plants. The talk will finish with a brief speculation on how things have changed in the past and might change in the future.

All welcome - admission £2 - further details from Ann Carpenter on 01508 488337. www.facebook.com/WymondhamNatureGroup
