VivaVoices community choirs in Wymondham, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and Newmarket raised £1222 for the cancer charities Big C and Cancer Campaign in Suffolk in their summer concerts. The choirs sang a mix of pop, rock, musicals and easy listening songs from the decades to audiences across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Choir leader, Graeme Hopson, said, "Many of our members have loved ones whose lives have been affected by cancer, and over the years we have sadly lost some of our members to the disease, so these two charities are very close to our hearts.”

Ethan Beckett from Big C added, “We are so grateful for your support which will enable us to be there for anyone affected by cancer. From one-to-one sessions to support groups and from health and fitness programmes to our support line, every note you’ve sung and every penny you’ve raised, has made a huge difference.”

Wymondham VivaVoices meets weekly on Wednesdays, 7.30-9.00pm, at Fairland United Reformed Church, with rehearsals starting 21st September. All welcome, no audition or need to read music. For more details visit www.vivavoices.com or call 01284 700286.
