I don’t know about you, but as soon as December sets in, something tells me to cosy up early with warm drinks, be mesmerised by the twinkles of Christmas lights, and enjoy the comforts of home. The holiday season has many traditions, pomp, circumstance, and annual events that fill out our calendars. From having to spend time with that family member (we all have one), dealing with retailers promising that their Black Friday offers are amazing (mostly, they’re really not!) to the joy of watching your nearest and dearest draw open that special gift. What is it about this festive season that inspires you, OR that you simply can’t stand?

That exact question can also be applied to estate agency. To think of an Agency as inspirational may initially be a stretch, but when you view that property that fulfils your dreams and ticks all the boxes, and the agent is there enhancing the experience and answering every possible question fielded, what other word can there be? If you are willing to share your thoughts, I would love to hear from you!

Within my world of being an agent, I regard my role as substantive, representative, and above this, giving. A continuous equation of time, conversation, thought, and attention to detail to mention a few. My day does not end at 5 pm or 6 pm, nor when an offer is accepted, or an exchange has taken place – quite often, that’s when the real work begins.

For those of you with plans or thoughts of moving, there is currently a window of positive activity that will gradually slow down as we get closer to Christmas. Following this, Boxing Day is known for record-breaking online activity, therefore can be an excellent launch opportunity. Then, as we move into the new year, the market will pick up again generally seeing an increased number of properties coming to market and buyers looking.

So, my gifts to you this Christmas are time, sharing of knowledge, and the willingness to work above and beyond to bring your dreams into reality. And with all this – hopefully, just a little sprinkle of inspiration.
