I have been privileged to be the Headteacher at Robert Kett Primary School since April 2020. I fell in love with the school the day I visited, which was actually Christmas lunch day - a filled lunch hall of smiling children helped me make the decision to apply for the job!
What I love most about my job:
- The Robert Kett TEAM - we are all united as a family to provide the best we can for the children of our school. For me it is the ‘WE’ not ‘I’.
- Every day is so different and at times unpredictable but equally so rewarding!
- I have the responsibility to empower and lead others.
- Leading assemblies is one of the highlights of my day! Celebrating pupil success and seeing their beaming smiles when presented with their spotlight certificate is simply the best!
- Greeting pupils and their families as they enter the school gates is one of the most important parts of my job and no matter the weather - sun, hail and even snow, our Senior Leaders are on the gate! We love to welcome our school community and we are also so lucky to be greeted with fabulous happy ‘good mornings’ from our school community.
- I have even dressed up as a pupil and joined classes for the day to view learning through the eyes of a child.
