Wow what a year we have had… it is hard to believe that in just less than a year since we first contacted Open Bionics to register our interest, Caitlin has now become the youngest person in the UK to receive an Open Bionics Hero Arm and is now part of the Bionic Squad!

During the journey Caitlin has become a national TV, radio and newspaper star, featuring on Steph’s Packed Lunch, BBC Look East, CBBC Newsround, Radio Norfolk and Radio 4. She has been in the EDP, The Evening News, The Sun, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Mirror and numerous online news feeds (including hitting New York City). But of course not forgetting Wymondham Magazine, which started this all off in the first place, which we will always be eternally grateful for! Try googling "Caitlin Hutson Bionic Arm" to see how quickly and far the news spread.

Caitlin had long dreamed of using a hairdryer and hairbrush at the same time.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of friends, family and the local community and we wish to thank every single person, company and Ashleigh School for the invaluable support you have all shown to Caitlin by either donating directly, helping to fundraise money or simply sharing her story.

One of the things Caitlin has dreamt about doing for herself was to brush and dry her hair on her own like every other girl and well what a day that was!
