The organisers were delighted by the turnout for Wymondham’s first Food & Drink Festival held on Sunday 26th June. With over 40 food and drink stalls and a Made in Wymondham craft market, there were plenty of delightful tastes to enjoy whilst doing a bit of shopping and being entertained by Town Crier Yanny Mac, Dave Donut’s Punch and Judy Show, and the Glee Club Choir.

South Norfolk Radio were broadcasting from the event throughout the day. There was even an opportunity to have your tongue turn blue at the Norfolk and Norwich Science Association stall.

Many stallholders had sold out of their hot food by the end of the day and traders were delighted by the turn out and organisation of the event. Grumpy Panda said: “Has to be one of the best food and drink festivals so far this year!”

The Oil Tree stall holder said “10/10” and The Durban Grill quoted: “A really well organised event. A great selection of food and crafts around the town centre and we can’t wait to be back next year!”.

Simon’s Table Norfolk said: “Thank you to the events team of Wymondham Food and Drink Festival for organising a very successful first festival. We look forward to joining you again next year!”

It is hoped that the event organised by Wymondham Rotary Satellite Group will raise over £2,000 for local charities. The organising team of Bev Bulcock, Maureen Huckle and Sara White were thrilled by the turnout and fully expect that the festival will go on to become an annual event in Wymondham’s calendar.
