Dandelion Education Ltd, a multi-award winning Norfolk nursery, has once more been acknowledged for its unique ethos, and its outstanding levels of education, at an awards ceremony in London.

Founders Hayley Room and Emma Harwood proudly received the accolades of the Best Forest School, and a Team award, at a reception dinner held in London by the Nursery Management Times (NMT) on November 23rd.

Emma stated that “receiving the Team award was testimony to the equality and support that all Dandelion staff offer each other, and the families within the setting. Every team member is vital to the success of Dandelion and they work tirelessly to be the best they can be.”

“Winning the Best Forest School award validates Dandelion’s provision of the highest quality Early Years education possible. Delivering the best in today’s turbulent climate, with reduced funding and excessive costs, is a challenge but one Dandelion intends to rise to.”

Dandelion Education Ltd is a unique open-air, philosophy (P4C) and forest-school-led nursery. Its founders, qualified primary school teachers Emma Harwood and Hayley Staniforth-Room, said their Ofsted success of 2017, 2021 and 2022, along with their numerous accolades, demonstrate that excellence in early years schooling can be met in unique and innovative ways that ensures that ALL children, regardless of perceived barriers, thrive.

Dandelion is one of the few nurseries to have been awarded a Philosophy kite-mark, by Sapere which demonstrates their commitment to developing creative and critical thinking, along with personal, emotional and social skills and problem solving.

To celebrate the award, Emma and Hayley are opening a third site just outside Wymondham in April 2023.
