Being shortlisted for Senior Member of the Year is an honour for Frances Roberson, from Wymondham YFC in Norfolk, who says she will treasure the accolade forever.

She was hoping to win at the national final on 23 April where she showcased her skills to the judges in a private interview as well as on-stage to an audience. The winner of the competition was Polly Baines from Staffordshire. To get to the final is a huge achievement as the members have to compete in county and area rounds before making it to the national final.

When asked what she loves about Young Farmers Club, Frances said: “The opportunities to learn and meet new people across the country. In YFC there are always things to do. Every one of the finalists are in the final because they are fantastic members of their club and county. They work tirelessly to support the organisation, with enthusiasm and determination to do their part. To have reached the final alone is an honour and something I will treasure forever.”
