Wymondham Archers have smashed records and taken a massive haul of medals at their premier event of the year, the spectacular Summer Wymondham Archers Shoot.

The historic two-day tournament attracted top-tier archers from across the region, resulting in the highest attendance the club has ever seen. The atmosphere across the weekend was nothing short of brilliant, proving once again that archers make the shoot what it is.

A massive thank you must go out to the army of volunteers who gave up a few hours—or their entire weekend—to make the event a resounding success. We truly appreciate it; all your efforts made the shoot what it was, and the club simply couldn't have done it without you.

The local talent was out in full force, delivering a phenomenal haul of medals for Wymondham Archers.

On Saturday, the gold rush began with Robert Norburn, Terry Reeve, Evie Bullen, Layla Annison, Gillian Harris, Andrew Shepherd, and Karen Harvey all coming away with Gold, whilst Keith Macduff won a hard-fought Silver.

The momentum carried straight into Sunday, with Chris Norburn, Evie Bullen, Ellis Betts, Keith Macduff, Robert Norburn, and Karen Harvey all securing Gold. Jason Harvey won a brilliant Silver, and Georgina Bullen came away with a well-deserved Bronze. What a fantastic performance — well done to you all!

In the bigger picture for the club, which is proudly a registered charity (No. 1215145), the income made from the shoot not only covers the costs of running the event but also gives us profit. Every penny of this will be put directly towards the aims in our development plan, making the club better for everyone in terms of the facilities and support we can offer our members.

It also means we can run the shoot again next year. Keep an eye out for entries to open, but the date is officially locked in for 10/11th July 2027, so get it in the calendar!
