Wymondham Town Youth Football club is the largest youth football club in Norfolk with a total of 30 teams plus a development squad which starts at 4 years to 7 years. Playing at Ketts Park every Saturday Morning for boys and girls, the club has 134 coaches and 500 players currently. The coaches are all volunteers who give up their free time so the children all have equal access to football across the grass roots game on a local level.

From the 500 players there are 120 girls registered across 6 girls teams and also a number of girls playing in the traditional boys league giving us an awesome mix across the board.

Below are some good news stories from last season:

Girl's football team

We had great success last season in the U14 falcons team, who were the first ever Wymondham team to win the Stuart Dracup (Norfolk County) Cup and in addition the same team also won the league plate cup.

Ravens U12s Girls team had a fantastic season, with a great bunch of girls with a full squad of 18 signed on and playing and training weekly. They won the U12 league 2 and gained promotion, and also got to the semi final of the league cup.

The girls have also been successful in summer tournaments getting to finals and winning the Beccles 2023 tournament in June.

Lucas Poll

Last season the U15 girls were the only club in Norfolk with two U15 girls teams (Ravens and Wolves) in the league. Credit to the coaches involved, focusing on growing the girl's section from the little ones up to U16s this coming season.

A massive congratulations to current U14 player Lucas Poll for signing a 2-year contract with Norwich City Academy. Lucas has performed to the highest levels and intensity in matches alongside training sessions. Lucas has been with WTUFC since Development Squad.

The Club are truly trying to focus on all aspects of football across the community and are always looking for volunteers to help where needed, if you would like to help please email the Chairman of WTUFC on wtufcchair@gmail.com.

Scott said: “As the new Chairman for the club I would like to thank all the coaches and players for the dedication they show each week in representing the club and upholding its traditions of being a family friendly environment for all to enjoy.”
