Wymondham Countrysiders is the junior arm of Wymondham Young Farmers for those aged 10 to 16 who like to meet with like-minded young people who enjoy the Countryside.

We relaunched back in September with a good amount of young people coming along, most of whom were new to Countrysiders.

So far we have enjoyed Archery, Circus Skills, a talk from a Wildlife Ranger and had joint meetings with the senior club for Bonfire Night and our Christmas party. We have strong links with the Senior Club, with many members moving on when they are old enough and regularly have joint events, including some meetings and the Panto.

We had 16 members take part in the ploughing competition, none of whom had ploughed before. It was a good day and everyone enjoyed themselves. We also take part in competitions with other Countrysider clubs throughout the year with quizzes, public speaking, farming related competitions and a full competition day in the Summer.

The programme for the Spring and Summer include a visit to farm machinery dealership, a talk by a Vet, visit to Asparagus Farm as well as some stock judging with the Seniors.

We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 7.00pm until 8.30pm and our indoor meetings are at North Wymondham Community Centre.

We have a fundraising event on Tuesday 14th February with a Bingo night in aid of club funds. Doors open at 6.30pm with eyes down at 7.00pm at North Wymondham Community Centre.
