The Wymondham in Bloom team travelled to Essex for the Anglia in Bloom Awards ceremony on 7th September. They improved upon the last in-person judging result with a high Silver Gilt, narrowly missing out on Gold. Volunteer Paula said: “The AiB Awards was a lovely, well attended event with a great atmosphere. It was so good to be able to chat to like-minded ‘Bloomers’ and pick their brains for ideas for the future. Fingers crossed for Gold next time!”

Annette James added: “The AIB judges mentioned yet again how the strength of Wymondham's community spirit shines through in our entry. We are very grateful to everyone who supports our work.”

This month they will head to Bury St Edmunds for the Autumn conference. There they’ll find out from the judges what areas need to be improved in order to achieve a Gold award in 2023. Bury will be the perfect place to gain inspiration, with the town having been awarded Anglia in Bloom Gold 11 times and also performing well at Britain in Bloom.
