Formed in July 2021, following the opening of the new School the previous September, the Friends of Wymondham College Prep (FOWCP) is a group of volunteers who support the Wymondham College Prep School, being focused on engaging with families and the local community to provide fundraising opportunities that will help enhance, enrich and improve the learning experiences for the children.

Registered as a charity during 2022, the organisation arranges several social and fundraising events throughout the year, in addition to organising interactive activities for the school students, therefore providing regular opportunities for the wider school community to come together in support of the Wymondham College Prep School.

Successful fundraising efforts to date have permitted exciting and useful learning resources to be provided for use within the Prep School, including games, toys and educational materials. The current fundraising goal is to raise £12,000 for an outdoor classroom, to help create an interactive outdoor activity and learning space for all the pupils to enjoy. With over two-thirds of the money raised to date, the FOWCP’s forthcoming events hope to allow the overall target to be fulfilled this year.

Following the success of a similar inaugural event held last Spring; the FOWCP is now preparing to host its 2nd Annual Easter Fete, being held at the Wymondham College Prep School site, off Golf Links Road, near Morley, between 2:00pm and 5:00pm on the afternoon of Saturday 25th March 2023. A wide range of attractions are planned for the event, including music, performances, stalls, games and refreshments, with everyone welcome to enjoy a fun time out for all the family.
