For 25 years the annual Wymondham Music Festival brought a range of musical talent to Wymondham. Sadly, the festival came to an end in 2019 as the number of able bodied helpers dwindled. The trustees of the festival renamed the charity ‘Wymondham Music’ which, instead of arranging music events directly, seeks to help other organisations to bring music to the town.

We can help by publicising events on our website. We can facilitate online ticket sales through our arrangement with PayPal, and we can offer grant aid from residual funds where music events would not otherwise be held without some additional support. This could include, for instance, help with funding the cost of a well known soloist, or the hire of an expensive instrument needed for a concert.

Applications for such help can be made to the chair of trustees, Philip Richardson, by post or online (details below). Each application will be considered by a small panel and assistance given to the most deserving cases. Two and a half years of pandemic restrictions have severely curtailed the amount of musical activity in the town. Wymondham Music would like to play its part in reviving that activity.

Contact details: email prichardson@downhammanor.co.uk or by post to 16 Vicar Street, Wymondham, NR18 0PL.
