In June, Greening Wymondham supported youth organisations with litter picking activities lending out equipment to Rainbows, Brownies, Cubs & Scouts as well as organising their own litter pick trying to cover the North Wymondham estates.

Equipment was loaned out to the cubs one Friday evening as they went tidying around the town centre, followed by the rainbows & brownies of North Wymondham as they cleaned up (in differing areas) around the North Wymondham Community Centre. Finally, the Friday scouts tidied up in the town centre once again the following Friday.

After all this activity, Greening Wymondham then organised volunteers to go around all the estates along the Norwich Road towards Hethersett and the estates south of Tuttles Lane from the Norwich Road to Hubbards Close.

Following the successful litter pick events, South Norfolk Council ran a prize draw for groups to win a share of £4,000. The names pulled out of the hat included Greening Wymondham, Wymondham High Academy and Wymondham Scouts; with each group receiving £200.
