Shops and offices in Wymondham are being encouraged to put up red and white flags or bunting on Saturday 23rd April to show their support for the town’s St George’s Day celebrations.

Wymondham has built a reputation for staging events to celebrate England’s patron saint and this is an attempt to continue the tradition. Residents of the street-facing properties in the town centre are being asked to display a flag, red and white bunting or flowers, in their windows.

Events taking place on the day include:

10am – 2pm: Food and Craft Fair at Fairland Hall, hosted by Bee Sweet

11am – 1pm: Wymondham Abbey will be open to visitors

1.30pm – Rock Choir in the Market Place

2pm – 4pm: Book Afternoon Tea at participating cafes

7pm for 7.30pm: Wymondham Short Film Festival at the Ex-Services Club

Wymondham Celebrates St George is a Wymondham Town Team facilitated project.
