North Wymondham Community Centre will use its annual Community Garage Sale on Bank Holiday Monday to launch “Artist Tree”, a new tree-themed arts project.

The hall will be open between 11am and 2pm for a display of tree-inspired paintings by local resident Nicola Durrant, alongside a selection of work by the Thursday Art Group.

A piece of collective artwork called Tree House, produced by children at Ashleigh School, will be on view, and there will be information about Greening Wymondham’s Tree Trail.

Christine Chapman of ChrisCreations will be selling her unique beaded Tree of Life designs, and John Beckett will present some of his tree poems from his recently published collection.

There will also be a performance of a short play called Comment Tree by local playwright Tony Vale, where an Oak Tree is in conversation with a Leylandii.

This Bank Holiday Monday is 31st of August – be sure to come along. Everyone is welcome.
