What better way to get rid of the festive cobwebs than by taking part in the popular Wymondham Athletics Club's festive 10k this January?

WAC's *Not* New Year's Day 10k will take place on Monday, January 2 this year, instead of the usual date on January 1.

The run starts and finishes on Lady’s Lane and takes competitors on a gently undulating course on country lanes through the picturesque countryside on the outskirts of Wymondham.

Katie Whitmore, club chair, said: "This event is one of the highlights of the running calendar and we're really looking forward to putting it on again. We're months away and entries are going really well so we would encourage people to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."

Race HQ will be located at Wymondham Central Hall, Back Lane, Wymondham, NR18 0QB and open from 8am on the day.

Hundreds enter every year and the race is welcome for runners of all standards.

Entry is £15 for affiliated runners and £17 non-affiliated and competitors must be 15 or over. Every runner will get a medal and there will be prizes for the winners.
